A common misconception is that dental restorations last forever but unfortunately this is rarely true. With time dental restorations will break down or become loose, allowing decay to enter the area around the restoration and become problematic. Although you can’t expect your fillings, bridges, and crowns to last forever, you can do your part to make them last as long as possible. Maintain great oral hygiene and visit your dentist regularly to keep those restorations in great condition for as long as possible.
We don’t focus on the past; we’re more concerned about improving your oral health today and for the future. Our patients are all treated with the utmost respect and we will never make you feel bad or embarrassed if you haven’t been to the dentist in a long time. Our goal is to make you feel good about visiting the dentist. Your treatment plan is based on what you want done and moves at a pace that you feel comfortable with. We hope that our friendly staff and comfortable, relaxing atmosphere will motivate you to continue visiting us for regular checkups, so that you can achieve and maintain a healthy and beautiful smile for life.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. They are used for single tooth replacement and for multiple tooth replacement. If you want to learn more about implants schedule a complimentary implant consultation with Dr. Amin and she will be happy to go over your options.
The cost of dental implants can vary widely depending on the number of teeth missing, the condition of the bone and gums and the aesthetic goals. While treatment isn’t inexpensive, we urge patients to consider not just the dollars and cents of the treatment – but the value that dental implants can provide in terms of the improvement to dental health and quality of life. When considering longevity of other options the cost of dental implants can be less over a lifetime.
Our practice believes in comprehensive evaluation and treatment planning for lifelong health of teeth. In order to aide us as part of our New Patient Evaluation it is essential to acquire a full set of x-rays for every patient. X-rays help us diagnose many diseases and dental defects that are not able to be seen by the naked eye. These may include such things as decay under old fillings, teeth trapped below the gums, cavities between the teeth, bone loss as a result of gum disease and changes in either jaw bone structure which can be affected by many systemic diseases.
